The tragic aspect of the whole "Children of Húrin" story culminates in this scene. I like the dragon in this illustration. I've tried some dragons, but I never succeeded.
It's still diffcult for me to picture Glaurung as the "Golden Dragon". In my mind, gold doesn't match with the slimy, sinister, all devouring aspects of Glaurung. But that's what Tolkien said and so I tink I have to get used to it
Wow! I love the story of Túrin, but it's so sad at the same time. It's like Romeo and Juliet: Romeo kills himself thinking that Juliet is dead but she's not and when she wakes up she discovers that Romeo is dead and kills herself... i-it's just so sad I'm going to cry

This was a truly sad story. I am so glad to see someone do scenes from books other than the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Have you read the Children of Hurin? It's a darker themed story but it develops what came after this particular event.

If you manage to you won't be disappointed. It is my goal to have all of Tolkein's works added to my library... his writing has a lot of depth, I think that is why his popularity never really seems to go away.
