I just love the technique Maybe markers don't sound so impressive to some, but for me watercolour is actually easier because you can avoid/cover up mistakes and you have more control over color. With markers, you have to have an extremely good idea of the final image, I think. So I'm doubly impressed! Beautiful, beautiful work, as usual
Watercolours are great because they blend easily and mistakes are removable when still wet. And OTOH, markers are great because they *don't* blend too easily ( ) and don't drip. I had a phase when I did all my works in markers, but now I've gotten used to watercolour again...
This is magical! I love how your illustrations have the right atmosphere. This looks very..poetical, just like it should be to describe a story from Silmarillion. For the contrary, your works depicting Shire are always have that comfortable Shire touch, everything rich, but homely.
Dear Deviant , I hope you are having a wonderful day wherever you are. Okay, I am not here to just greet you and talk about nonsense things, I have come to comment on your deviation. First I like how much detail this picture has. The storybook quality that the picture is also very nice. I have never seen or heard of white ink so I can not say if you used that to your advantage for this piece or not. Either way, hope you continue to have a wonderful day and this small letter/comment makes you smile. Keep up the great work, No-Name-Girl
