Elvish Feast in Mirkwood by ullakko Elvish Feast in Mirkwood by ullakko
Scene based on Tolkien's novel The Hobbit, chapter 8, "Flies and Spiders" where the Dwarves and Bilbo see glimpses of the elvish feast, but are never able to participate because the lights go out and the elves disappear whenever they try and approach the party.

Done with watercolor and ink. Scanned weirdly, so little adjustments in Photoshop.

I was disappointed that they didn't have this part in the movie. They didn't even have the river part where Bombur falls in. Oh, well! Just have to go and read the book and imagine it like we used to anyway, but you're picture sure helps to picture it! Lovely, lovely work. I faved something from you a long time ago. Cool to run into you and your beautiful art again :D
